Elemental Balance

Kirribilli Residence is a five bedroom new build family home situated on an ideal site on Sydney Harbour. The approach to interior elements for this stunning residence was directly informed by the beauty of the rammed earth wall. Used for its naturally insulating properties, the natural earth texture unites different levels of the house as well as setting the baseline for a strong interior palette.

Colours that included rust, clay, ochres and dusty pink tones in the finishes palette worked with the rammed earth walls. Alongside the soft palette, we introduced classic black and white furniture that spoke to the modern principles of the spaces in this harbourside home.

Balance for the interiors between luxury living & the practicalities of family life were achieved through curation of storage, furniture & bespoke details. Each room was required to speak to the architecture but also provide a more emotional connection with how our clients live.

The result is a beautiful, serene home with our clients’ personal stories interwoven throughout.
